When stored for some time the consumer may notice a product that looks to be separating. If the product is stored at cool or cold temperatures it may look grainy. We indicate to “Shake Well Before Using” on the label.
There are several methods that can be used to mitigate these minor quality problems. For example, coconut Milk should be allowed to reach room temperature. Then the consumer can shake the can a few times to help reconstitute the product. The consumer can also use a whisk to re-emulsify the cream of coconut to your desired consistency.
Once the can is opened, the unused portion should be refrigerated and discarded after three to five days.
